Amelioration is a set of land treatment works in a specific place to improve soil quality and productivity. Reclamation projects involve the drainage of excess water or the supply of missing water, cleaning of melioration ditches and digging, leveling the terrain, strengthening the slopes, liming the land, leveling, removing stones and others works.

Dambekalns reclamation specialization is drainage, which is installed to drain excess water from agricultural and other lands, such as suburban villages, sports fields, landscaping and fruit gardens. The most appropriate time for melioration and drainage repair is the period of low water, which is mostly observed from the second half of May to August. On the other hand, in places where drains have not yet been installed, it can also be done in winter, autumn and in spring.

The built-in drainage plans are then placed in the land reclamation cadastre, they will be visible on the website Melioracija.lv and in the Latvian State Forests app LVM geo.

We have also repaired drainage systems on our own. In very small cases it often works, but for larger pieces there is neither precision nor quality, and in the end it is just wasted labour and material.We have chosen Dambekalns drainage for the fourth year for a number of reasons.
